Piezo-electric weft yarn monitor has a leaf spring feeler whose edge, which is in contact with the transversely displaceable yarn, is provided with serrations which increase the vibration of the feeler when the latter is contacted by the moving yarn. Used dor feeler vibrations are amplified without stressing the yarns.
