The hot plate has its thermostatic temperature control simplified by using a specified arrangement of switching levers. The control consists of a sensitive expansion system thermally connected to the hot plate and acting on a contact member mounted on the support that holds the expansion. The switching temp. is adjusted by a switching lever pivoted to the support. The switching lever (15) pivots about an axis (13) at right angles to the housing (17) that carries the hot plate. The temp. setting device (32) consists of a second lever likewise pivoting about an axis at right angles to the surface of the housing.
