<p>The cutting arrangement consists of a board, along one side of which a rod (12) is mounted. The rod serves as rail for a sliding carriage inside which a cutter wheel (18) is mounted. The cutter wheel is in the shape of a truncated cone. A fixed knife blade (6) and a flat guide (8) are mounted on the cutting board. The material to be cut is fed through a gap between blade and guide. The conical cutter wheel is mounted between two pivots (22) in a carriage. The conical surface of the wheel rests against the rod which runs along the board. The pressure with which the side of the wheel is pressed against the guide depends on the force with which the wheel is pressed against the rail.</p> |
