The hollow underside of the shutter-speed knob (2) contains the potentiometer that sets the shutter speed for the exposure control circuit. The inner flat surface of the knob receives the potentiometer's resistive track (7b) and, nearer the centre, a circular conductive track (7a) extends outwards at one point to connect with one end of the resistive track. The potentiometer sliders (11a, b) are mounted on an insulating bridge (9) for which, also, room is found in the hollow of the shutter speed knob (2) thereby saving space on the camera body. |
