Erosion protection mat for covering ground surfaces - has honeycomb structure made from secondary decayable raw material

The erosion protection mat made from secondary raw material has a series of webs (2) forming a lattice which together with the matt floor made of decayable material create a honeycombe structure. The webs are arranged on both sides of the mat floor (1) and have a wedge-shaped cross-section. The webs facing the air are made from secondary raw material having a coarse and/or fibrous make-up which is preferably porous. The webs (2') on the earth side however have a fine grain and/or fine fibrous and/or powdered structure which is highly compressed. Tha mat floor has perforations (3) in case water-impermeable raw material is used to make the mat. The webs (2) on the air side contain plant nutrients and/or seeds.
