Window or door joint draught proof seal - with inward folds connecting sealing surfaces of thin walled elastic tube

The sealing unit, for joint gaps in windows or doors effects good sealing against air currents from outside or inside the building, and at the same time is not subject to drumming noises or other vibrations. It can also allow a degree of air exchange in stove-heated rooms, or elsewhere, without setting up a draught. A thin-walled tube (1), incorporates walling sections (2, 3) which form parallel sealing surfaces, and interconnecting folds (4) aligned towards the centre of the tube. The sealing walling sections may be thicker than the fold walling. At least one of the sealing surfaces may be fitted with acute angle section ribs (6), and one of the sealing walling sections may have a self adhesive layer applied to it.
