The drill is designed to form passageways for pipes or tubes in wooden beams or other flooring or wall constructions and to leave behind a lining for the passageway which prevents filling escaping into the hole. The drill comprises a cutter head which can be extended by a hollow cylinder. Depending on the different floor constructions and thicknesses met the cylinder can be fitted with extension pieces. A plastic or metal sleeve is located on the drill before the cutter head is screwed onto the tool. The attachment plate to the drilling machine has a collar which prevents the sleeve from sliding off. A colar is provided on the sleeve and rests on the surface of the flooring following completion of the drilling and removal of the tool.
