Multi web rotary print machine with single track dryer - dispenses powder between webs entering dryer to avoid smudging

Rotary offset print machine has two printing units, a single track dryer and a single track cooler. Ahead of the dryer is provided an auxiliary roll for bringing together of the two webs from the printing units and feeding the webs together through an inlet slot of the dryer. The cooler has rolls which at first separate the webs and then bring the webs together again before they leave the cooler. The invention provides a dispenser arranged ahead of the auxiliary roll for continuous application of a powder between the webs approaching the latter roll, thereby to avoid smudging of the print.
