1483170 Sliding clasp fasteners YOSHIDA KOGYO KK 16 March 1976 [27 March 1975] 10452/76 Heading E2S A sliding clasp fastener has a pair of stringer tapes 11, 12 bearing a series of discrete fastener elements 14, each of which has a generally rectangular body 15 with two spaced legs 16, 17 and a key-hole section slot 18, 19 to engage the beaded edge 13 of a tape 11 or 12, and a coupling end portion 20 having a rounded head 21 recessed at 23 and a neck 22 having projecting lugs 29 complementary to recesses 23. In the closed position of the fastener, the interengagement of corresponding lugs 29 and recesses 23 of opposed elements 14 gives increased resistance to forces normal to the plane of the fastener, and to torsional forces. |
