Both the chambers 12, 16 and the tubular section include heat exchange jackets. The upper chamber 12 is provided with an inlet 14 for the fluidizable material, and the lower chamber with an outlet 40; but these may be reversed. Fluidizing gas is introduced into the bed via a foraminous distributor plate 48. |
