The scanning head is angularly movable about three mutually orthogonal axes to provide a 180 degree coverage. For movement about the axis through O normal to the plane of Fig. 1, the scanning head 6 is displaced by flexible, inextensible tapes 12, 12a which run over rollers 14, 14a on an arcuate track 20. The rollers 14, 14a are attached via member 17 to a further tape 15 which is displaced by drive means 16. |
