A diazotype process comprise imagewise exposing a heat-developable two component diazotype material which comprises a support coated with a layer containing a diazonium compound and a coupler and in the same or adjacent layer hexamethylene tetramine, semicarbazide, thiosemicarbazide or derivatives of semicarbazide or thiosemicarbazide, and heating to develop the image. Alternatively, the alkali may be present on a separate sheet in sufficient amount to develop the exposed two-component diazotype material. Trichloracetic acid may be added to the alkaline layer. In the examples, hexamethylene tetramine is used as the alkali and may be mixed with semicarbazide hydrochloride, thiosemicarbazide, carboxymethyl trimethyl ammonium chloride hydrazide, succinhydrazide, carbohydrazide or acetone scant-carbazone. |
