<p>PURPOSE:To refine exhaust gas containing SO2 with a small amount of NH3 consumption without generation of white smoke by contacting the exhaust gas with a solution of ammonium sulfate containing NH3 at a pH 8.5- 5.5, then oxidizing the absorbed SO2 with air etc. to absorb SO2 efficiently because of reaction of SO2 with NH3 in the solution.</p> |
