The third hull is in the form of a pressure-resistant submersible cabin with windows 11 for underwater observation. Hawsers 7, 8 connect the third hull to the two outer hulls and permit it to be lowered from and/or pulled along by the twinhull ship when released from it. Expandable fenders 22 or rods 27 receive the observation cabin when it is raised between the hulls.</p> |
