1423138 Extruded polyolefin articles DUNLOP Ltd 22 Feb 1973 [4 March 1972] 10221/72 Heading C3P Elongated articles such as rods and tubes may be prepared by extruding compositions comprising a non-cross-linked polyolefin of molecular weight at least 100,000 and 5 to 40 per cent by weight based on the polymer of a finely divided filler of platelet-type material of such size that it will pass a 200 British Standard mesh size screen and having a moisture content of less than 0À5 weight per cent, the composition containing no liquid lubricants and no cross-linking agent. The polyolefin may be a polyethylene, polypropylene, polybutene-1 or poly-4-methylpentene-1. The filler may be tale, carbon black, mica, graphite or molybdenum disulphide. |
