<p>PURPOSE:To expand the universality of a keyboard by providing a liquid crystal display(LCD) with backlight, a control circuit, a storage circuit, a piezoelectric key matrix, and a key decoder. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, the control circuit 6 reads out display data from the memory circuit 7, and a character is displayed on the LCD 2 with backlight. The piezoelectric key matrix 1 over the LCD 2 with backlight is formed in tranparency, and the character on the LCD 2 underneath can be observed. A row signal 3 and a column signal 4 can be outputted from the piezoelectric key matrix 1 by depressing the position of the character. The key decoder 5 receiving the signals outputs a code from a terminal 10, and informs the depression of the key to a computer, etc. The position of the character is controlled so as to house the character with the meaning of the key in each key frame of the key matrix 1 with the control circuit 6. The universality of the keyboard can be expanded by forming the storage circuit 7 so as to be able to mount a various kinds of storage media.</p> |
