<p>The parent patent described a continuous casting plant with a curved guide and support roller track. The mould is vibrated axially above a housing contg. the prim. guide rolls; and underneath the housing is a chassis carrying the sec. guide rolls. The housing and the chassis are connected by a link so they are automatically aligned w.r.t. each other; and the housing can move at 90 degrees to the direction of billet travel, horizontally across the frame of the casting plant. In this addn., the link consists of >=1 shaft mounted between the two prongs of a fork fixed on either the housing or the chassis; and the shaft can slide in a groove provided on the chassis or the housing. The fork is pref. mounted on the chassis so the shaft slides in a groove in the housing, which is mounted on skids or rollers. The link permits the expansion and contraction of the housing and the chassis; and also facilitates dismantling of the plant.</p> |
