Voltage stabiliser for image intensifier tube - has transistor with feedback to provide constant voltage for current regulated unit

The electrical voltage stabilising unit is used to supply power to an image intensifier tube. The unit has a first transistor (Q3) operating in series. A resistor (R10) provides a polarising voltage to the first transistor (Q3). Feedback is obtained from a second transistor (Q4) a diode (D4) and variable resistors (R11, R12). The unit is connected between a direct current power source and the supply circuit to the tube. The supply circuit to the tube comprises a power control unit which provides constant current regulation. the stabilising unit provides constant voltage to the power control unit and makes it insensitive to supply voltage variations.
