The resilient material which can be inflated under slight superpressure to serve as interior spaces or room. It is made up from ground-anchored interconnected resilient sheets which together provide a hollow interior space. Before inflation takes place the whole assembly is arranged in a flat continuous circular sheet (1) with a circle periphery (2) larger than that of the inflated unit. Inflation is effected simultaneously with retraction of the circular periphery on the ground and raising of the central area, without any pronounced expansion of the sheet material. Following inflation, the sheet surface expansion differential, resulting in the formation of rounded areas, is compensated by cables (3) with one end anchored to the ground while their other ends are united with a common central connecting member.
|
