<p>Parallel with or at an acute angle to the main cutting edge (1) the knife has an auxiliary edge (6) set back behind it in the direction of rotation. The auxiliary cutting edges (6, 7, 7') can be mainly situated in the area where pressures occurs between the material being cut and the sharp edge of the main one. Each of the auxiliary edges can protrude sideways beyond the preceding one, and they can be mounted so as to overlap each other in the outwards radial direction.</p> |
