<p>Cold-treatment shoe for horse or other animal comprises a sole on which are mounted inner and outer sheaths surrounding the animal's leg which stands on the sole, and forming between them a gap filled with a coolant. The sheaths may include fastener for attachment above and below the gap, pref. bands which can be attached to the sheaths along part of their circumference and tightened by buckles. Holes in the lower regions of the sheaths and in the sole are provided for drainage of liquid. The outer sheath may be rigid and integral with the sole. Pref. the outer sheath is made of material for thermally insulating the gap against the exterior, and the inner sheath is made of material which allows heat exchange with the animal leg.</p> |
