<p>The loudspeaker box, for bands etc, contains several loudspeakers with different characteristics and frequency ranges. A switch is used to switch in passive or active LC filters that alter the characteristics of the loudspeakers. The best sound for any given condition can therefore be selected using this switch, or switches. The advantage lies in giving the greatest range without the expense of having a different set of loudspeakers for each different environment.</p> |
