Composite footwear sole with inner leather sole - has opertures linking upper shoe frame with base sole for one-step injection moulding

Footwear sole (1) which consists of leather has on its underneath a protective sole (2) and on its upper side which a frame (3) for the shoe wherein this frame and protective sole which are both made of rubber or plastics are connected together in one piece by means of one or more apertures (4) which are provided on the leather sole and are closed round the edges. These apertures (4) have a free full-length opening which is so dimensioned that when injecting the rubber from one side of the leather sole both the parts of the sole on either side of the leather sole can be shaped in one work step. Thus in addition to the easier production a more intimate connection is provided between the protective sole and the frame located on the other side.
