Support plate for underfloor heating pipes - has plugs at bends to provide room for pipes to expand without kinking

The plate is intended to support the pipes of an underfloor or wall heating and cooling system in their meandering path. It is covered with cylindrical projections (3) between which the pipes fit and which themselves fit the sharpest curve into which the pipe can safely be bent. The pipe is held firm at its bends by plugs (5) which fit between it and the neighbouring projections. This protects the pipe from kinking at these points when it expands; instead the expansion is taken up on the straight sections, where the pipe can be allowed to snake along past the cylindrical projections.
