Air extract ducts for car - has outlet duct mounted between inner and outer skins of rear roof pillar

The rear roof pillars of the car are fitted with air ducts as a flexible tube (43) between the inner (17) and outer (19) walls of the pillar. The duct guides the air from extract grilles under the rear window to exhaust grilles outside the vehicle. No modification is required to the pillar structure so that its strength is not affected. The duct is simple to fit in mass production and be a plastic moulding. Air follows a re-entrant path so that any road noise and moisture are kept out of the car.
