<p>The cycle lock consists of a horse shoe shaped housing secured to a wheel fork and surrounding the wheel rim such that the open ends of the horse shoe lie opposite to each other in the spoke region. The housing contains a C-shaped hardened bolt (5) held in the unlocked position by a pull spring (10). A grip (5a) welded to the bolt and guided by a slot in the housing, enables the bolt to be passed through the wheel spokes into the opposite laying end of the housing. The guide slot for the hand grip (5a) is formed on the inner side of the housing facing the wheel fork. The guide slot may be omitted and a small bore be provided in the housing to enable a pull wire attached to the bolt to be used.</p> |
