Clock display representing path of sun - has pointer fixed to model sun moving across horizontal time scale

The clock display has a model of the sun, which moves in an elliptical path, to represent the movement of the sun across the sky, the trajectory of this path being dependant on the time of year. A pointer is attached to the model sun, to extend perpendicularly above or below it and moves across a fixed horizontal scale along which the 24 hours of the day are marked. The scale divisions are close together at either end of the scale and spaced furthest apart at its centre. The drive for the movement of the model sun pref. employs two wheels, positioned at the focal points of an ellipse.
