Flame deseaming machine fitted on driven trolley - with driver's cab using plastic window not obscured by hot spray

Plant for flame deseaming of a workpiece comprises usinga driven trolley fitted with a jib, extending over the workpiece, and carrying at least one burner set; a deriver's cab is also proided on the trolley and fitted with one or more windows. Novelty is that at least the window facing the burner(s) is fitted with a pane of Plexiglass (RTM). The pane pref. has a thickness of 5-12 mm, esp. 10mm. The pane is designed to replace both a pane of heat-resistant glass and also the wire mesh screen previously employed in front of the glass. The transparent plastic pane has a much longer working life than the glass pane and mesh screen. Normally, the flying spray of slag etc. created by the burner obscures the screen and damages the glass; and the screen reduces visibility even before it becomes coated with slag. The plastic pane remains clear and lasts several months.
