Water reservoir for air humidifier - is integrated to maintain operative water level constant to contact having absorbent material

Humidifier which has a piece of absorbent paper of cloth (13) hanging over a rail (12) and dipping into a water trough (11), is fitted with a water reservoir (2) in the form of a closed vessel with an outlet only at the bottom. Water flows out of the reservoir when and only when the outlet is uncovered, so that the height of the outlet defines the water level in the humidifier. A valve covers the outlet when the (pref. transparent) reservoir is removed for re-filling, and opens again automatically when the reservoir is replaced in the humidifier.
