<p>A small round instrument spindle is grooved and flatted for axial pressing into an internally screwed bushing. Pressing is not limited by a stop which allows the bush to be axially adjustable. The thread turns swage into the withdrawal resistant grooves. The flats resist relative rotation. Buttress grooves (2) along the winding spindle are of slightly larger dia. than the wheel (4) threaded bore. The groove root dia. is slightly below the thread core dia. The spindle has flats and corner peaks. After trimming to length, the wheel is pressed on.</p> |
