<p>A platics container for shipping pourable merchandise which is charged to it thorugh an opening or valve has >=1 partition extending parallel to that wall of the container fitted with the inlet opening or valve. The partition(s) has (have) >=1 aperture allowing hte contents to pass through. The container is used for shipping and/or storing materials in bulk e.g. granulates, fertiliser. Capacity of the article is >=1 m3. It may also be used as a silo. The partitions prevent 'bulging' of the container when filled, whether partly or completely. It can therefore be handled with loading pallets as it always presents a flat base. Also, since deformation under load is minimal, such containers may be stacked side-by-side without intermediate gaps, minimising storage space.</p> |
