<p>Heat-insulated stock frame combined with running-rail shaped-section unit is for use with multi-winged sliding windows. There is an inside shaped unit for the inside sliding wing frame, and an outside one for the outside frame, both made e.g. of aluminium, and interconnected by an intervening zone made of heat-insulating material. This zone is in the form of a closed hollow section, or multi-chambered section, which is self-supporting, and can be produced separately from the inside and outside units. They may be screwed, pinned or otherwise mechanically joined together. The intermediate zone section may be rectangular in cross-section, with a lengthways side facing the inside of the frame, and at least twice as wide as it is high, the width pref. extending over the whole width of the frame section.</p> |
