Split rotor disc on vehicle shafts has markings in circumferential directions scanned by wheel speed sensor. The sections of the rotor disc are fixed by means of centred wheel rim and/or brake drum bolts. The rotor disc is split along an identation or a slot or in a straight line along the diameter the disc. The rotor disc comprises an even number of markings. Holes (2) are provided for fixing the rotor disc to the wheel rim and/or brake drum. Slots (3) are arranged in a regular pattern in the circumferential direction. An optical or magnetic signal passes through the slots (3) to a sensor.
