A ceiling light rose is of two part construction to ensure foolproof assembly without any danger of incorrect assembly. The base plate (1) is secured to the ceiling by a screw (1) and plug (9). The electrical cable (2) bringing the power to the light is retained in a spring clip connector (3). A pendulum type light fitting cable (6) passes through a hole in a top cover (4) and screwed to a terminal block (5). The terminal blocks have strip (5a) connecting tongues that locate in the clip couplings of the top plate. The position of the clip coupling and the cover retaining screws are fixed to ensure that a false connection is not possible.
