Article of clothing, e.g. jacket, trousers or one-piece suit comprises sleeves and/or legs made of non-stretch material in >=2 layers, with longitudinally extending quilting seams and heat-insulating padding. At the end of each sleeve and/or leg is >=1 triangular acute-angled gusset of transverse-stretch material with the long apex pointing in the longitudinal direction and the base lying flush with the cuff or trouser bottom. The gusset is inserted in a wedge shape between adjacent portions of the non-stretch material. Pref. the width of the base of the gusset in relation to the length of the long sides of the triangle comprises a ratio of 2:3-1:6.
