Panel type cooling and heating elements - made from plates joined at edges and expanded by fluid pressure

The cooling or heating elements are made from two flat thin plates. The element is made by a relatively simple method and has maximum surface area. The two flat plates (1, 2) are stacked and joined as required positions (5). The edges of plates are also joined. A fluid is pumped into space between the plates and these are bulged outwards. The fluid is drained after deformation. The bulging is partially resisted for ensuring required shape. The bulging can be restricted to one plate only. The plate arrangement is expanded to yield a quilted blanket form.
