Transistor circuit behaving like inductance - with transistor base connected to collector and emitter through resistor and capacitor

The transistor (TS1) is energised by a d.C. voltage source (4) connected across the collector-emitter path which is in parallel with the input or output of a measuring instrument (1). A high-ohmic resistor (R1) is connected between the collector and base terminal contacts. First transistor (Ts1) base is connected through emitter-collector path of a second transistor with the instrument (1) input or output (2) and transistor base is connected through a further high resistance resistor (R2) and a capacitor (C1) to the same terminal. In one embodiment, a zener diode is connected across the emitter path of the first stage of a two-stage circuit and the emitter resistor (Re1 in first arrangement) is in the emitter lead of the second stage transistor.
