The lubricating unit is for a multiple disc friction clutch and is designed to convey the oil to the points of lubrication without the use of a pressure lubricating system. The friction body and the discs are located near to a meshing gear wheel pair (12, 14). - The oil squeezed laterally out of the meshing teeth is conducted from inside between the discs (16, 17). Where the oil is only required to be squeezed out on one side, at least one of the gear wheels has its gear teeth gaps closed off by a plate on the side furthest away from side wherein the oil is to emerge. The lubricating unit operates as a geared pump.
