Sequential thrust mechanism for items off conveyor - has two horizontal parallel coupled discs with offset centres and thrust plates

The mechanism thrusts items, bearing against each other, by one off a continuously moving conveyor. It comprises two discs (1, 2) parallel to and one above the other, their central vertical axes (18, 19) lying in a plane perpendicular to the conveyor and clear of it, and being offset from each other. The discs run at the same speed and in the same direction, and in the top one there are a number of rotary spindles evenly spaced on a common pitch circle (3). At their lower ends these spindles are coupled by connectors (4) parallel to the conveyor to the upper ends of the same number of spindles, arranged on a pitch circle of the same diameter in the lower disc.
