Medium size container conveyor - has stop with probe to actuate inflation mechanism of tube lying in channel along belt

The conveyor consists of an endless belt (3) revolving over drive rollers (2) and held in a main chassis (1). An inflatable tube (4) lies in a channel along side the belt and extends along the belt to a length greater than the container. Air is supplied to the inflatable tube from the main supply pipe (5) through the control valve (6). The presence of a container is detected by the probe (7). To stop a parcel moving along a belt the tube is inflated thus lifting the base of the parcel clear of the belt.
