<p>The electronic control system is for a powered wheel chair which has two wheels, independently driven by DC electric motors. It also has one or more swivelling wheels, to aid steering. There is one potentiometer control lever which occupies several positions. The potentiometers deliver independent voltages to the motors, in controlling speed and steering. The motors have separated armatures and field systems and are fed by a battery. The entire control system is electronic and is made up on a block system. Steering is effected via a generator which gives two stabilised and symmetric voltages.</p> |
