Disc changing system for video disc player - uses two parallel bands for transfer of discs between storage magazine and playback station

The video disc player has a rapid disc charging system comprising bands (16) for transferring the video disc supports (18) from the storage magazine (14) to the playback station, with a device for positioning the optical playback system (5) relative to the surface of the disc. Pref. the disc supports are transferred from the storage magazine via two parallel transport bands (16a, 16b) each passing around two drive pulleys (16c, 16d). The transport bands (16, 16b) and the drive for rotating the selected video disc (10) are positioned on opposite sides of an aerodynamic stabilising system for supporting the rotating disc.
