Combined sowing and laying plastics sheet on soil - using machine which fills furrows over edges as eccentric wheels pierce hole and plant seeds

The machine is pulled by a tractor and lays plastics sheet on the soil surface, pierces holes and plants seed in the ground below the hole. It opens a furrow each side and, after laying the sheet, holds it down whilst the furrows are filled over the sheet edges. Behind this is a hopper filled with seed. This passes onto a distributor which drops seeds individually into pockets spaced around the circumferences of eccentric wheels. Each pocket has a point which pierces a hole in the sheet and plants the seed. This system is pneumatically operated by an integral fan.
