<p>The hygienic insert for water closets consists of a layer of water permeable or strongly absorbent and soft bendable paper or cellular material which may be laid out in a plane. The paper or material is indente, cut or perforated along a surrounding peripheral edge (4) and has a smaller surface size than the opening cross section of the toilet seat, projecting slightly on the side over and beyond the water surface formed inside the toilet bowl.
