Shunt for pipeline scraper pig - with motorised swivelling bend inside tight casing

A shunt to enable a pig to be pulled through a branch of a Y-joint in a gas or oil pipeline consists of a bend with a welded shaft inside a tight housing. Bearings support the shaft which can be swivelled to connect the outgoing end of the bend to one of two outgoing offtake connections. This saves the complicated pig locks and the time wasted by the personnel before it can install a pull-through pig with the conventional equipment.
