Protecting synthetic foam cushions against bacteria and fungi - by immersing in acid-free oil, e.g. silicone oil, contg. bactericides and fungicides

Cushions are protected against bacteria and fungi by immersing them in an acid-free oil, e.g., silicone oil contg. fungicides and bactericides. Pref. the cushion is compressed when it is introduced into the oil and is allowed by expand slowly so that the oil fills the pores. The action of the compsns. is long-lasting and the method is more convenient than the use of a protecting wrapper which can be torn in use.
