Plastic materials are tested for their mechanical properties by bending a specimen with a loaded tool in a time/creep test, the specimen is loaded to constant deflection and the effective bending strength at the point of loading is measured continuously or at intervals. Appts. is inexpensive, uses low loads, and a simple test procedure.
