<p>The hydroelectric system with marine storage is located especially on steep sea coasts. The system utilises the tidal movements and wave energy for generating electricity. Horizontal waves are converted into steep waves. The water storage below is used for driving a pumping system for filling the upper storage. The steep vertical waves are lifted into lower storage of large area but of small vertical height. The pumping system raises water to a much higher level which is drawn from the sea or from lower storage area.</p> |
