The type impact regulator is for compact electric typewriters or similar office equipment. The striker bar has bent sides (67) each with a hole (71) and a slit. The slits are movably and swivably mounted on the already existing mounting axis for an intermediary lever which is coupled to the type lever drive. Riveted shafts are mounted on the support pins (83) in the holes (71) of the bar sides whereby the shafts and pins are arranged eccentrically to one another. The pins have a hexagonal profile and are rotatably mounted in the side walls (87) of the machine. A simple screw spanner can be used to adjust each support pin and thereby correspondingly move the striker bar.
