The cable retaining strap, for a wide range of cable diameters, consists of a rigid support block (1) to which flexible flaps (3,4) are fixed in pairs coaxially adjacent to one another. A retaining band (5) passes beneath each pair of flaps and folds over them so that they close around the cable. One end of the band passes through a slit in the other end to hold the flaps closed over the cable. apart from accommodating a wide range of cable sizes the strap also has the advantage of being attachable to any form of support.
